A Great Horned Owl (GHO) was seen in the SE corner of Interlake Park
in Seattle this morning between 5:15 and 5:58 AM. The location is North
Capital Hill, just N. of Stevens Elememtary School. This location is the
same as frequented by a GHO earlier this January.

It called repeatedly from 5:15 to 5:30, averaging about 3 calls per
minute. It was silent from 5:30 to 5:38, then was relocated in the top
of a giant sequoia in the SE corner of the park at that time. It flew
off to the north.

I heard the owl last week too, but I only heard it call once and I
didn't attempt to locate it. I did, however, get up and make sure our
cats were inside...
