National Wildlife for December/January 2004 has a good article "Where
Wild Salmon Still Spawn" by Douglas Gantenbein. Nice picture of Eagles,
Swans, Bears and of course Salmon. Check it out at the library. Had a
Varied Thrush in the yard the other day as well as a nice Pileated
Woodpecker. Also have 4 beautiful Purple Finches which have become kind
of rare around here. If this weather keeps up we will have to cook some
noodles for the Robbins. Happy Turkey Day to you all.
