Subject: Bird diets

Hi Cleo and Tweeters,

Robins eat noodles? I didn't know that. They must
remind them of worms.

I remember a discussion on Tweeters about pink birds a
while back. I know diet does influence feather color
in some birds. I got to see an amazing pinkish
glowing Common Merganser on the Cedar River on
Saturday. From eating Sockeye? Any guesses out
there?
Are Mergansers scavengers as well as fish hunters?

So many questions.

Thanks and happy birding.

Kathy
