I Spent a little time today perusing the waterfowl and gulls on Parker
Horn of Moses Lake. Park Horn is the northeast arm of Moses Lake and lies
mostly within the city limits of Moses Lake (see Delorme pg. 69, C-.5 & 6).
I then visited several other sites. Sites visited were those that are on
the new Coulee Corridor Scenic Byway edition of the Great Washington State
Birding Trail map.
It was a beautiful sunny day with warming temperatures and perfect for
birding. The following highlights were observed in addition to the many
common waterfowl and gull species.

Penn Plaza Audubon Kiosk:

Tundra Swan - 5
Wood Duck - 1 male
Hooded Merganser - 11
DUNLIN - 41
Least Sandpiper - 1 (quite a late record)
Glaucous Gull - 1 (1st winter bird relocated)
Western Gull - 1 (continues)
Bonaparte's Gull - 21

Neppel Landing Park:

Tundra Swan - 3
Hooded Merganser - 23
DUNLIN - 6
Bonaparte's Gull - 14

Moses Lake Community Park:

Cooper's Hawk - 1 (adult male)
Bald Eagle - 1 adult

Moses Lake Outlets:

Hooded Merganser - 2
Barrow's Goldeneye - 1
Bewick's Wren - 5

Snowy Owl Route:

Snowy Owl - 0 (one was reported by a local resident last Sunday, but has not
been relocated)
Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1

Lind Coulee:

Northern Shrike - 1 adult, 1 immature
American Tree Sparrow - 4
