Stewart (and Tweets),

No need to apologize! Opperman is an uncommon name, Oppenheimer a much more
widespread, better known one. It's an easy mistake to make, and not at all
off-putting. I would not be chagrined in any way to bear that name myself.

I do hope you can acquire a copy of the new bird-finding guide some day. It
reflects the knowledge, experience, and dedication of the entire birding
community of Washington State (and a few fine folks in B.C. as well). Public
libraries will eventually have it on their shelves. It will then be easy for
people to borrow it and photocopy maps and descriptions of the sites they
are most interested in.

Your points about including minimal directions to sites in Tweeters postings
are well taken. Anyone who has ever been birding in an unfamiliar state and
called the local hotline only to learn that some long-coveted bird is being
seen "in the usual place" will sympathize with you immediately....

Good birding!
