Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Tuesday November 25. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On November 22 an ARCTIC LOON was seen on Yaquina Bay. It has been seen
since and is probably still in the area. An OVENBIRD was reported November
24 near Port Orford.

Heavy movements continue along the coast especially RED-THROATED and PACIFIC
LOONS. A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was off the North Jetty of Coos Bay November 23..

On November 21 a GLAUCOUS GULL was at the mouth of the Winchuck River near
Brookings and a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was seen along the river a few miles
inland. A TROPICAL KINGBIRD was at Pistol River November 22. On November 21
a COSTA?S HUMMINGBIRD was at a North Bend feeder. A SAGE THRASHER was on the
North Spit of Coos Bay November 23. On November 21 a HARRIS?S SPARROW was at
a feeder south of Waldport. A SNOWY EGRET was between Toledo and Newport
November 22. A POMARINE JAEGER and a FRANKLIN?S GULL were off Boiler Bay
November 24. A GYRFALCON was at the South Jetty of the Columbia River
November 21.

The female RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER continues to be seen at Clark College in
Vancouver. On November 21 a group of five SURF SCOTERS was on the Columbia
River near the Portland airport. On November 24 two BARN SWALLOWS, and the
SAW-WHET OWL were at Smith/Bybee Lakes in North Portland. On November 22
two EURASIAN TEAL, two BARN SWALLOWS, two TREE SWALLOWS, and a late
YELLOWTHROAT were at the Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove. Another EURASIAN
TEAL was seen that day at nearby Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. On November 23
a SANDHILL CRANE was near the Eugene Airport.

On November 20 an ACORN WOODPECKER visited a feeder in Bend.
