Hello All,
Today was warm until 12P.M. when winter arrived and we went east to Rooks Park to get in a walk. We saw a lone Belted Kingfisher and several Am. Goldfinches. The big fine of this cooling day was not a unexpected bird species, but rather a foot long gopher snake. I have never seen any snakes on Thanksgiving Day. This serpent was very sluggish and cold. I held it and photoed it until it warmed and we released it under some dense litter in a large pile of rock. This was a record late date for us. Do not eat and drink too much, rather enjoy your few hours off.
Later Mike
