Usually I am very fortunate to get one White-throated Sparrow
a year, usually in late October-early November. However, on Sunday, 9/26/03,
a bright yellow lore adult showed up down along my driveway! Then,
yesterday, while trying to relocate Sunday's bird by extensive pishing, a tan morph
White-throat appeared! And once again, while home for lunch today, the bright
adult appeared again under my large hopper feeder in the front yard. In the past
they have stayed about 2-4 days so it will be interesting to see how long
this pair hangs around.
Also, 4 Golden-crowned Sparrow and several Dark-eyed Juncos
have appeared, and today an immature White-crowned Sparrow was there with
White-throat.
