Featured bird is LAPLAND LONGSPUR

Sightings for September 29th

A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was at 16th Avenue and Grand Boulevard in North
Vancouver.

The 2 MARBLED GODWITS remain at the Tsawwassen ferry jetty
compensation lagoon.

Out of town, the CRESTED AUKLET continues to be seen by several
observers at Pedder Bay on Vancouver Island.

Sightings for September 28th

>From Reifel comes the report of 1 SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER, 5 GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, 3 SANDHILL CRANES, 1 PEREGRINE FALCON, 1 AMERICAN
BITTERN and 400 SNOW GEESE. Three MUTE SWANS were seen near the
Westham Island Bridge.

At Boundary Bay were 2 STILT SANDPIPERS, a PEREGRINE FALCON, a MERLIN,
2 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS and several EURASIAN WIGEONS.

In the 6700 block of Baker Road in Delta on Saturday, there was a
WESTERN TANAGER.

Sightings for September 27th

A possible sighting of a WHITE-FACED IBIS at the Cloverdale race track
was reported. The bird was seen in the vicinity of 67th Avenue and
176th Street. Confirmation is desired.

At Boundary Bay, between 104th and 96th Streets were 8 GREATER
WHITE-FRONTED GEESE. Nearby, at Blackie Spit was a PEREGRINE FALCON.

A juvenile GREEN HERON was at Beaver Lake in Stanley Park.

Out of town, near Ross Lake in the Skagit Valley were 8 RUFFED GROUSE.
