I was on a fishing trip to E. WA, but I am always looking for birds. I did
see the GREAT EGRET at Alkali L. that has been reported. We saw it at the
north end about 8 a.m. on Sat. and again at 6 p.m. at the south end. On
Friday at Dry Falls L. we heard CHUKAR calling all over the rock cliff sides
and finally saw a few at the lake edge getting a drink. Then we watched at
least 12 parading up the rocks in a line towards some brush.
