Ruth,

Yes, this movement of TVs through Seattle this morning was an
off-and-on topic throughout the day on KUOW FM, the public radio
station. The traffic reporter who offers updates at the top of each
hour mentioned seeing 50-plus "hawks" circling together over Safeco
Field around 9:55 a.m., and I am not sure how many of us emailed the
station with the information to say that the birds the reporter was
seeing were Turkey Vultures, but at the top of the next hour she
corrected the report to say that they were TVs migrating south to
California and that she had confirmed that fact with the Seattle
Audubon office after receiving emails about her earlier report. Later
in the day the TV movement was alluded to once again when one of the
KUOW hosts referred to her seeing a group of politicians circling
over Safeco Field earlier in the day.

I kept an eye out for TVs moving over the north end of Tacoma, but I
never caught sight of any. We did have a big push of American
Goldfinch moving through the yard and visiting the feeders this
morning though...
