For those who haven't heard about the Ridgefield Refuge's annual
biding festival. This is the only opportunity that you have until the
first day of May 2004 to walk around on the Kiwa Trail and the rest of
the refuge. Other than this weekend you will be confined to your vehicle
except at the restroom and the Observation Blind.

TWO DAYS OF TOURS: walking tours for birds, plants (ethnobotany), Lewis
and
Clark trading site (Cathlapotle), kayak tours, van tours

Children's Activities in town and on the Refuge, A Birder's Market, and
afternoon raptor displays. Almost everything is free. Note:
Unfortunately, the evening tours to watch the Sandhill Cranes come in to
roost are full.
