Hi all,
After going two years with out suet, due to starlings; I finally have
started putting it out. I have two feeders, one in the back and one in the
front. Yesterday I actually got to be home, and found it a paradise of
woodpecker activity! I counted 7 Flickers, not to mention a pair of Downys,
a Sapsucker, altho he was just hanging, and didn't go to the feeder (I have
never seen one at a suet station yet).
I also looked out later in the day to see a Pileated flying away from my
station. I had my window open, so I could listen to the bustle of activity,
and heard the Hairy 'pic', but didn't see one. This morning I woke up to
find a male Hairy chowing down!!! I think I need another suet log! Between
all of these guys, and the little ones, I think my yard is a bit of heaven
for me, when I get to be home!
Birdwatching is great fun, but MY birds are the best!!!
