Hmmm. Obvious fodder for jokes about Everett (actually, feel free!), but TV's are fascinating birds, so here goes:

On Wednesday afternoon October 8, between 1 and 3 p.m., Snohomish County government biologists who are also birders observed from their downtown office windows more than 150 turkey vultures kettling near (notice that I said "near"(smile))the Rucker Hill neighborhood which overlooks Port Gardner from the southeast. Although sightings have definitly been increasing these past few years, this is the first time to my knowledge that any of us have seen anything more than a few in one group during migration (or maybe anytime)in this Puget Sound County.
