It's been an exciting week in an otherwise dreary cubicle world. I work in
downtown Everett in a 10 story windowed building with great views. We've have
been seeing several turkey vultures this past week but Wednesday, October 8th
was the best. By the time we were done counting we had 200. I'm sure we did not
count them all as we did have to work! The vultures were flying low and
flapping away, fighting against the wind.?They were coming from the north and looked
as though they were following the freeway.

We are all wondering where they usually migrate over since this is the first
time we have seen so many in downtown Everett. Any ideas? Many of us are
birders and biologists so I can't believe we missed this phenomena in the last
several years. Thanks.
