On October 14th there were 5 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE on the
sandbars at Reed Island, which is in the Columbia River just offshore of
the Steigerwald Lake N.W.R. near Washougal, Clark County. About 100
VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS were cruising overhead there and 2 COMMON
YELLOWTHROATs were in a patch of dead Tansy.
At our home on Mt. Pleasant there were 3 RUFFED GROUSE in the
crabapple trees and 8 BAND-TAILED PIGEONS at the feeders.
