Greetings,

I just returned from a family gathering near Tofino. I managed to get a few
short outdoor excursions in. Surprising little about.

Big storms at the end of last week had uprooted a lot of kelp and benthic
invertebrates. The result was a feast for the gulls in many locations. I
snapped 200+ gull photos, one of which was of a juvenile SABINE'S GULL which
was sitting on the beach. The photo can be viewed from the image gallery at

Later this month I'll post some Mew Gull shots from the area - lots of
plumages and angles.
