Subject: question about dead bird

I recently found a beautiful adult Red-headed Woodpecker in our
museum freezer, in a bag with no further information, and I have no
idea how it got to be there. It's presumably not from Washington. I
was wondering if someone passed it on to me at some time when I was
preoccupied or didn't realize what was in the bag (only the head was
showing, and I thought it was a Red-breasted Sapsucker just at a
glance). Is there anyone on this list who gave this specimen to me?
Thanks.

Dennis
