Thursday, October 9, 11:48 AM. This is Dennis Duffy. This morning there was
an EURASIAN COLLARED DOVE in northwestern Snohomish County. It was along Norman
Road between Silvana and Stanwood. It was perched on a utility wire at
Stilldahl Farms at 1811 Norman Road. I'm confident of my identification on this
bird. It's origin is quite another story, I guess. I talked to the farm owner
there and he doesn't raise doves and doesn't know anyone in the area who does.
But, anyway, it's fun to see anyhow. Thanks. Bye.

Thursday, October 9, 11:57 AM. This is Dennis Duffy. I just left a message
about an EURASIAN COLLARED DOVE in Snohomish County and I got the location all
wrong. It was at 4811 Norman Road and Cliffhaven Farms. So, sorry about that
confusion,

Friday, October 10, 7:30 AM. Hi, this is Tom Aversa, reporting on a trip
yesterday down in the Gray's Harbor area, with Hal Opperman and Steve Gerstle.
Just to let people know that there are still good numbers of GOLDEN PLOVERS at
Damon Point. We had about 36 of them on the outer beach, mostly PACIFICS. Also,
a PALM WARBLER right on the Damon Point Road. A lot of other birds down that
way, including 15 GREAT EGRETS at Westport, a couple of EARED GREBES at the
Hoquiam sewage ponds, and 750 MARBLED GODWITS in Tokeland.

Tuesday, October 14, 11:47 AM. This is Bob Forgey, (425) 392-2307. At about 9
o'clock this morning there was a GREAT EGRET about 6 miles south of Issaquah.
Thank you, and good birding.

Wednesday, October 15, 2:06 PM. Hi, this is Tom Aversa. Today there was a
FRANKLIN'S GULL up in Snohomish County, just north of Silvana, just south of the
Stillaguamish River crossing, just before the left of Norman Road. Big flock
of 2500 GULLS feeding in a freshly manured field.

Thursday, October 16, 3:27 PM. This is Dennis Duffy. This morning there was a
NORTHERN FULMAR on The Edmond's waterfront that made a brief appearance at
the fishing pier and them headed off toward Kingston. This afternoon there was a
FORESTER'S TERN in the area. It was with 8 COMMON TERNS near the ferry
terminal.

Thursday, October 16, 5:10 PM. Hi, this is Tom Aversa, birding today in
Eastern Washington in Grant & Kittitas Counties. Up at Soap Lake there were some
shorebirds around, including a bunch of DOWITCHERS. Also, 2 STILT SANDPIPERS and
a late BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, a few WESTERN SANDPIPERS. Also a BLACK-BELLIED
PLOVER there. At Vantage, at the base of the Ginkgo overlook, next to the river,
was a flock with six different SPARROWS in there, including LINCOLN'S, an early
SWAMP, and an early AMERICAN TREE SPARROW.
