Hello all,
We did the Kent Ponds (aka Green River Natural Resources Area) census today
from 7:45am-12:00pm. It was a highly productive day (70 species, possibly
an all-time high) with great weather conditions and some highlights.

Greater White-fronted Goose (2)-juvs.
Canada Goose (ca. 400)-minimas flying around the valley.
Eurasian Wigeon (1)-partly eclipse male from grassy knoll (64th Ave).
Ruddy Duck (8)-main lagoon.
Canvasback (3)-males.
Redhead (4)-high count; all males.
California Quail (1)-meadows.
Green Heron (1)-near weir.
Great Egret (1)-constructed wetlands.
Barn Owl (1)-Russell Rd. nest box.
Northern Harrier (1)-juv. female.
Merlin (1)-female type columbarius.
Peregrine Falcon (2)-1 pale ad., 1 juv. pealei.
Northern Shrike (3)-1 ad., 1 light juv., one dusky juv.
Winter Wren (1)-heard only.
Orange-crowned Warbler (1)-bright bird.
Yellow-rumped Warbler (dozens)-slightly more Aud. than Myr.
White-crowned Sparrow (1)-ad. gambelii.
Western Meadowlark (8)-east meadow.
