This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Bird Alert for Monday,
October 20th, sponsored in part by Wild Birds Unlimited, with stores in
Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The Rare Bird Alert continues for a WESTERN SCRUB JAY.

Sightings for October 20

The WESTERN SCRUB JAY was again observed today in the vicinity of 4126 River
Rd. W in Ladner. This house is west of 41B & River Rd. The homeowner at
4126 River Rd. is allowing birders to enter the property along the East Side
to observe the feeders in the back yard. Please observe the bird from the
back of the property. The bird was also seen at 4049 River Rd. It may not
be necessary to enter the property as it seems to be bringing food from
local feeders to trees on the opposite side of the road from the houses.
