I pointed this out in the comments section at the bottom of the survey.
I still think it is useful to submit the survey since this type of work
might, at some stage, influence policy makers.

The classic example of why this is relevant is the Kent Ponds Wildlife
Area (sorry I can't remember the exact name). A perfectly fantastic set
of old sewage treatment ponds were IMHO turned into a worthless,
mono-culture of cat-tails.
