Hello All,
Today it was 90 degrees F on the Walla Walla River delta. We saw 2 Great Egrets, 1 GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW , the big deal today in this mid-August like heat was the huge numbers of butterflies. Hundreds of thousands of alfalfa butterflies were everywhere in the Walla Walla Valley. These sulfers were present in small clouds along HWY 12 from Touchet on east towards Walla Walla. This is the most butterflies I have ever seen in the last third of October.
