Carol Riddell noted that she hoped the map for the Coulee Corridor Scenic Byway has more accurate driving instructions than the Cascade Loop Birding Trail map. I'm not sure that the availability of the Coulee Corridor map has been posted, but the map has been printed and distributed to a number of outlets. Check with your local Audubon chapter for a copy. Ed Newbold's artwork is featured.

The Coulee Corridor Scenic Byway runs from Othello to Grand Coulee along SR 17 and SR 155. The 53 sites are included on the main highways and side routes, most of which loop back into the Corridor. It is not all-inclusive as private land access, parking and safety issues eliminated some sites from consideration (example Para and McCain Ponds near Othello.) You will want to purchase the newly updated ABA Birder's Guide to WA for fine details also. Because it is formatted with a template of site information there were space limitations for descriptions and birds to be found, but each site has driving directions and associated facilities.

As with any publication there will be information that needs to be updated due to recent changes or oversight during 10 (at least) rounds of edit. Be aware of seasonal closure on Columbia NWR at site #4 that is not listed in the text.
