Hi all -
This is an unofficial report just to spread the word -

This is the second year of a project to band migrating Northern
Saw-whet Owls at Rocky Point Bird Observatory on southern Vancouver
Island. Last night, the season count passed the 250 mark, including a
tantalizing array of plumages which will take some taxonomic sorting
out. More good news from banders on Bainbridge Island, who sent word of
a recapture in their nets, an owl banded at Rocky Point almost exactly
a year ago.

Some happy banders on both sides of the water!
