About that black band on the left leg -
Was the 1 above the G or vice versa? Were both the 1 and the G horizontal?
If not, were both vertical or was one vertical and the other horizontal. If
just one, which one was vertical? Was there a horizontal line between the
letter and number? Band readings are great, and I'm not trying to be a pain,
but the configuration does make a difference in identifying the bird.
If you had a horizontal 1 above a horizontal G, he's a male from the
Washington Mutual nest in 2001. There is another G & 1 configuration that's
a female from the San Juans, and she has been spotted several times in the
past in the Kent Valley.
