Steve and I made a quick dash to Tokeland and arrived there with about a 1/2
hour of decent daylight left. App. 250 godwit were seen in two flocks close
to the marina. The reported Hudsonian Godwit was not seen, but there was one
very clear Bar-tailed Godwit in with about 200 marbled, 5 willet, 1 whimbrel
and ass't dowitchers. This flock was on the western beach just as you approach
the dock. The smaller flock was mixed with a few Dunlin and more dowitchers
and these were feeding in the mudflats closer to the trailer park.

There were no observable godwit on the rock jetty, but some were heard
further north up the beach.
