Tweeters,
It's been two weeks since I've scanned the river, and in that time the major change, other than fewer gillnets in place, has been the near-daily visit of the local PEREGRINE FALCON. Its typical perch is on or near the top of the power tower on the east bank of the river, across from Hamm Creek.

Birds seen during this scan included the following:

Double-crested Cormorant (13)
Great Blue Heron
Mallard (4)
Peregrine Falcon
Ring-billed Gull (3; the first since Spring)
Glaucous-winged Gull (8)
Rock Pigeon (~30)
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow (19)
Bewick's Wren
European Starling (18)

May all your birds be identified,
