I have been lucky enough to see the White-throated Sparrow return to
my Tacoma yard off-and-on throughout the day, as it is tagging along
with a group of six Golden-crowned Sparrows. Unfortunately, much of
the time the light conditions other variables got in the way of
taking a good photo of the sparrow. About 30 minutes ago I got lucky,
with a little sunshine to provide better light and a cooperative
sparrow for a few minutes. I have posted the best of my photos of the

Who would have known that a dark and blustery day would yield decent
backyard birding!
