While I was at Nisqually NWR today, I noticed a Song Sparrow with odd
plumage on its head and am wondering if anyone else has seen it or
photographed it. Both sides of the head on this bird are very white
with just
the hint of a dark smudge in one place. The are two light spots on the
front
of the head. Other than the odd head feathers, all else about this bird
appeared
normal. It was on the west side of the board walk about where there is
a
break in the wooden fence that a vehicle could be driven through.
