Hi Tweeters,

On Thursday last week, I tried for Northern Bobwhite on the Weir Prairie, but was unable to see or hear any. I'll try again in a couple of months. Nonetheless, I was able to observe many migrants at this location.

On Monday, my father and I birded Perch Point and Lind Coulee. Below is the list of shorebirds that we observed at each location. The highlights were a juv. SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER and juv. STILT SANDPIPER at Lind Coulee. Both birds were feeding with a flock of Long-billed Dowitchers.

Perch Point:

Killdeer
Spotted Sandpiper
Greater Yellowlegs
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Baird's Sandpiper
Common Snipe
Great Egret

Lind Coulee:

Killdeer
Spotted Sandpiper
Lesser Yellowlegs
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Pectoral Sandpiper
STILT SANDPIPER
Baird's Sandpiper
Red-necked Phalarope
Common Snipe
Long-billed Dowitcher
SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER
