My husband and I will be vacationing/birding in Washington Sept. 10-27.
We hope to visit the Olympic Peninsula, Westport (taking the 9/14
Seabirds trip) Mt Rainier NP, No. Cascades NP and Mt. St. Helens (plus
any other areas that might produce interesting birds). We have a few
target species while we're in the area and would appreciate any help you
all could give us as to locating any or all of them. Have been
monitoring this list for most of the summer, but since some of these
birds may have already migrated, we would be interested in any recent
sightings. The list:
White-tailed Ptarmigan
Mountain Quail
Northern Pygmy Owl
Boreal Owl
Gt Gray Owl
Red-breasted Sapsucker
White-headed Woodpecker
Hammond's Flycatcher
Pacific-slope Flycatcher
Eurasian Wigeon
We are very flexible in our travel plans, don't mind driving out of our
way to see birds, and appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks,
Clare Oskay
