For about an hour at midday, I was entertained by a bright blue Budgerigar
that came into the yard and fed on seeds on the ground with a small flock of
Rock Pigeons. It shocked me at first sight to see such a spot of color on
the brown grass.

It makes me wonder how many birds I miss when I'm not home, or even not
looking out the window when I am home. One of those video cameras pointed at
the feeder doesn't sound like a bad idea, especially if you could program it
to recognize all the common birds and signal when something else shows up!
