You may also wish to attend a Gardening for Life workshop offered by Seattle
Audubon www.seattleaudubon.org. I don't know when their next series will be.

Please also consider attending an upcoming King County Naturescaping
Workshop. At these free workshops, you learn about how to shrink your lawn
and create a wildlife friendly, low maintenance landscape using native
plants. After the workshop, participants can go to a site loaded with native
plants that is scheduled to be bulldozed and dig plants to take home. You
get the knowledge and the plants for the low price of free.

If you are interested, please respond off list. I will add you to our
notification list. We are currently firming up dates and locations for
November, 2003.

Would someone kindly direct me to a website or book or whatever, so I can
start reading up on what to plant to attract birds?? Have never been a
gardener, so this is all totally new to me.

Thanks a lot,
Mary
