Was joined on a scouting trip today for my WOS trip on Saturday by
Michael Dossett, we started along the Vantage Highway where there has
been quite a bit of roadside burn since I was last out there in late
June, the majority of the burn is scattered and is from about MP 18-24.
6 Sage Thrashers and 2 Mountain Bluebirds were seen here.
On to Vantage...at the overlook not much to be seen, but a warbler that
left us both intrigued before disappearing, all we saw was the
underside, which was a sunshine yellow, with (unless light was playing
us) white undertail coverts, a possible Magnolia? Guess we'll never
know... There was a Townsends Solitaire and a Says Phoebe present, also
an immature Golden Eagle gave us nice views. Further down the river... a
GREAT EGRET at Gettys Cove and 7 terns just south of the Horse Farm, 4
were Common Terns, the others couldnt be ID'ed for sure.

Next stop was 27th street access in east Wenatchee, with the following
present:
>15 Savanna Sparrow
4 Warbling Vireo
3 Western Wood Pewee
1 Yellow Warbler
1 Wilsons Warbler
many Audubons Warbler
Also a single Bonapartes gull viewed accross the river towards
Confluence Park

At Walla Walla point park only really thing notable was 3 Terns, 1 was
Common for sure, 2 were possible Forester though ID remained uncertain
(birds were flying past up river).

Good birding all.
