HI ALL:
A male Golden-winged Warbler was found yesterday Sept 11 here on
Bainbridge Island, Kitsap County, WA. It was seen on Country Club Road
near the intersection with Upper Farms Road. IT was found again this
Morning at 7:15am in with a flock of Bushtits and Orange-crowned Warblers.
It has been seen in the bushes on the road bank next to Country Club Road.
There is a pullout at the intersect of Upper Farms Road and Country Club
Road, park there. DO NOT PARK AT THE COUNTRY CLUB PROPERTY! walking the
section of Country club road from the pullout to the gate of the country
club property is your best bet. Also try upper farms road if you can't
find the bird on Country Club Road.
FROM the Ferry terminal turn left onto Winslow Way, turn right at Madison
Ave. then left at Wyatt Way. Wyatt way becomes Bucklin Hill Road. Follow
Bucklin Road Road till you come to Blakley Avenue. Follow Blakely Ave.
until you come to Country Club Road, a right hand turn. Follow Country
club road until you come to the intersection with Upper Farms Road. This
is about 6 miles south of the ferry terminal.
