Greetings All

Had a wonderful farewell stroll around the Skagit WMA today. Lots of
warblers, sparrows, a couple Willow Flys. It was great, and so sad.

I understand the reasons to breech the dike, and I don't entirely disagree
with them. The passerines using this area have other suitable choices. But we
don't. This is my favorite passerine area in w. Washington, and is probably the
best spot for such n. of Seattle. So, I was selfish, and contacted WDFW and my
state legislators asking them to intervene. I am so very tired of losing
access to favorite birding spots.

If you wish to do so, contact www.leg.wa.gov and www.wa.gov/wdfw/ to voice
your concerns.

Also, more info is available at www.waduck.org

A chance to link arms with hunters. What are we coming to. Dogs and Cats
living together?

Cheers
