Hi,
a) hundreds of HERRING GULLS on the shore, (with large numbers of
CALIFORNIA, etc.). No Thayer's were seen.
b) dead auks on the beach: 13 COMMON MURRES and 1 PIGEON GUILLEMOT between
the parking area and the mouth of the river (the most I've ever seen there)
c) GREAT EGRET, GOSHAWK
d) nothing obvious by way of passerine migration (no pipits, no hirundines),
except perhaps SAVANNAH SPARROWS and eight HORNED LARKS

Cheers,

Nigel Ball
