Sunday Bird Walk: Neck Point Park, Nanaimo. September 14/03, 8:50 a.m.
to 11:25 a.m.

Weather: Cloudy at the beginning of the walk and then sunny at about 18?
C. It was very windy with white caps on the water. High tide was at
10:00 a.m.

Observers: Seventeen Sunday birders.

Highlights: We had great close range looks, for about ten minutes, at an
American Pipit. The resident Spotted Sandpiper was at his usual spot on
Sunset Beach. He was hunkered down against the wind near the shoreline.
