Greetings,
This morning, 16 Sept 03, a juv Sabine's Gull was seen briefly at a
gravelly area along the Columbia River.
This site is along the Loop Trail, accessible from the 19 St Entrance. From
SR 28 at 19 St NW [East Wenatchee limits] head west on 19 St NW for less
than .2 mile. Turn left into the Douglas County Public Services Building
parking lot. A short access trail at the NW corner of the
parking lot leads to the Loop Trail. From this intersection, this spot is
just to the west along the river, where there is a small bay just north of a
pond/channel. This area is a favorite for gulls at low water.
Good Birding,
Dave Beaudette
