Dear Tweeters,

The searchable database sounds intriguing, but I have not tried it out yet.

Good birding,
Gary Bletsch

Hi everyone,

After having in July launched the search engine to birding trip reports on the
Internet, we are now ready to present the next step of the web site -
something we have been working on for a few years now. It's a database making
it possible for us birders to search for articles etc in back issues of our
birding magazines and journals.
Too many magazines are simply collecting dust on the shelf although they
contain a huge amount of valuable information. We have indexed all articles,
notes, letters, reviews etc in some of the leading European and Scandinavian
birding magazines like Alula, Birding World, Birdwatch, British Birds, Dutch
Birding, and those published by the Swedish and Danish Ornithological
Societies.
Some have been indexed as far back as the early 1990s whereas for a few we
have started with the current volume. However, we are steadily working our way
back through the earlier volumes.

You can search this new database at our web-site http://www.eurobirding.com/

We would be happy to get some feedback from you about this new search tool.
Also, feel free to pass this mail on to your birding friends and other
relevant newsgroups etc.

Best regards,

Christian Svane and Ulrik Svane
