Crabapple/Twinberry/Spruce along the the upper Neawanna River,

with USBBL numbered metal bands and released. Data on time of

Notes: There was a pretty steady movement of sparrows through
the banding station today. Most of the captures were adult SONG
SPARROWS, but we caught a few of the many GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS
and saw at least two SPOTTED TOWHEES.

We also saw a nice little pulse of warblers, mostly BLACK-THROATED
GRAY WARBLERS, but also TOWNSEND'S, YELLOW-RUMPED and ORANGE-CROWNED
WARBLERS

I do not know which to prefer,
The beauty of inflections
Or the beauty of innuendoes,
The blackbird whistling
Or just after.
