Subject: strange knot at Oysterville

The knot that Wilson Cady and Marv Breece and I saw had a longer bill length than normal which drooped downward very noticeably. The bill was longer than the bird's head length. Wilson even drew a sketch of the bird on the spot while looking at this bizarre knot looking bird. I did notice bright white between the end of the left and right primaries which most likely was the rump while the bird was sitting. This seemed strange to me as most Red Knots always look so gray and uniform in color.

Perhaps best left as a knot without a name,
