Yesterday, while driving back from The Dead concert at the Gorge (which
was fabulous, BTW), I saw a GREAT EGRET take flight from a field just
south of I-90, about a half-mile east of the Thorp fruit store exit
(whatever one that is, but you know what I mean). While I was doing about
75 m.p.h., the bird was also flying west and I was able to get a pretty
good look.
