Tweeters,
A couple of brief notes.
This morning at 8:55am, while parking my vehicle at Virginia Mason Sports Medicine Clinic (904 Seventh Ave, Seattle), I heard what I thought was a SCRUB JAY nearby. Sure enough: At the top of the large oak tree at the south end of the building, a Scrub Jay was calling. The bird subsequently flew to the oak trees at the corner of 7th and Marion. For those of you unfamiliar with Seattle, this is directly east of the northbound exit to Madison, and is what I would consider to be part of the downtown area.

When I got back to my worksite at the Duwamish, a PEREGRINE FALCON was atop the power tower on the east bank of the river. Whether it's the bird I've been seeing the summer, I couldn't tell. I've not seen the Peregrine since Sep 8.

May all your birds be identified,
