Westport Seabirds has room on our upcoming Pelagic trip on Sunday October
5th. This trip has great potential for something rare showing up. Such as
last year during our trip on the first weekend of October that yielded great
looks at a Brown Booby. Potential October rarities include northern alcids
such as Horned Puffin, Thick-billed Murre and Parakeet Auklet.

Cetaceans have been good this fall aswell, with plenty of Humpback Whales (8
individuals last weekend) and Dolphins and Porpoises that will often "ride"
the bow wake.

We've had a good fall for South Polar Skuas averaging 4-5 per trip this fall
and also lots of the fall regulars including Buller's Shearwaters, Pomarine
Jaegers, Black-footed Albatross and Northern Fulmar.
