Yesterday, on a stress break, I went to Carkeek Park in the late afternoon. From the bluff by the railroad tracks, I could see 4 BRANT on the water with a few hundred Bonaparte's Gulls. Hunn's King County book says BRANT are common during this month.

Although the mouth of Piper's Creek is packed with blooming Salmonberry, I did not see any Rufous Hummers.
