Tweets,

I counted 62 herons on the heronry in Lake Sammamish State
Park yesterday. I also photographed a gorgeous "Slate-
colored" Junco in the park. But while I was able to study
it at close range, I had difficulty obtaining a decent
photo. The best is here:

Nice gray sides and upperparts without a hint of brown tones
anywhere in the plumage.

Looked for the Swainson's Thrush (within eyesight of the
Microsoft buildings) without success though its been more
than a week since it was reported by Martyn Stewart. I
added a link to its March occurrence symbol in the checklist
to information about the record and his recording of the
song.

Lastly, Houston Flores had a Northern Shrike in the back end
about a week ago.
