This afternoon my kids spotted an unusual bird and called me to come take a
look. I can't tell you what it is, but my guess is that it is an escaped exotic
of some kind. It was pecking along on the ground, reminding me of a large
rooster, then it suddenly flew up into a nearby tree. It perched there for a
while, then disappeared. We've posted photos at the URL below.
