Looks like an adult female House Sparrow to me. The broad stripe extending
back from the eye is a dead giveaway. That plus the other field
marks....plain grey breast, brown back with a few streaks, etc.

Subject: Mystery Bird
Ok you lot! What the heck is this bird? I have put it about and I get a
Juvenile House sparrow, but I have never seen a juvenile like this one
before! It has yellow under the beak and its breast is un-streaked, its
mantle is gray... I can not find this in any field guides all though
Sibley's is the closest.
